7 Things To Do Before The Year Comes To an End

The year is about to come to an end and we are soon going to embrace a new one. Despite the upcoming newness and the feeling of a clean slate it may give, there are a few un-ticked items on your to-do list that you wish you could have checked off in 2017. While a trip to see penguins in Antarctica may not be easily ticked off, there are still simpler things you can finish before the year ends. In case you lost your list, here is a look at some of the tasks we are still left to do.

  1. Finish a movie list

We all passionately make movie lists of subjects of our interest but most often than not, they simply end up being dormant lists in our note keeping apps. With a few days to spare and the holiday mood ringing everywhere, it is time to immerse yourself in the world of cinema.

  1. Binge watch that show

Got series recommendations that you always wanted to watch but never did? Well, this is the time to do it before the year slips and you end up looking guilty at parties when others talk about them. Even if you do not like the series, giving it a single episode watch is always worth it.

  1. Make calls

Phone calls are probably the easiest things to do but then again making some calls require courage. Remember your favorite teacher? You probably haven’t called her for a long time and forgot to wish her on Teacher’s Day but it is December so do it before the year ends. He or she will love to hear from you.

  1. Post that picture

We all tend to hold on to pictures from our travels hoping to slowly publish them on social media, but more often than not, we simply forget about them as they slide down our gallery. Before the year ends, take some time to post those pictures and have a pictorial recap of your year as well.

  1. Order food from a bookmarked place

Restaurant hunting is a real task which is why we all bookmark places, now is the time to finally unmark them by ordering food from them.

  1. Finish your book

Carrying around a book for too long without finding the time to finish it? Do it now. Set alarms to wake up early, turn off Facebook for a day, cut down on your binge-watching, do it all to finish the book.

  1. Visit a local monument

If you have been living in a new city, chances are you have been deferring visiting a local monument of the place of interest simply because you live in the city and do not need to be a tourist but it always helps if you see it for yourself instead of telling people how close you live to it.

The year is coming to an end and you may or may not have done great things this year but there are still a few tiny feats you can complete before you change the calendar in your living room.
